I usually shoot onto 512M CF cards so that I can load the entire card onto a single CD without editing first. I have a portable disc burner that I use for this. I
find it very useful doing it this way. I can clean up my cards and worry about sorting them later. Although I try to avoid doing much in the digital darkroom, when
I do I use Photoshop Elements for all of my work. I guess I prefer the image taking as opposed to the image making.
When shooting macro and close up, there are a few different arrangements I use depending on the situation. For 'still-life' I will usually try to use the 50mm macro. For outdoor use such as flowers or other items, I will likely turn to one of the zooms and put an arrangement of extension tubes on it. While I do like the macro, it does not allow a long enough focusing distance for work that has any movement in it.
